- Becca Krell and Annie Trujillo were elected to the Board of Directors
- Reported on community actions regarding the Grand Liberty Arch Monument, including an Open Public Meetings Act complaint to the Attorney General’s office and ongoing efforts by the TIP Committee volunteer group.
- SLC School Board Member Ashley Anderson reported on West High construction progress, pedestrian safety ahead of the August 18 school start, and clarified that no closure study has been initiated for Washington Elementary.
- Fire Engineer Seth Norton shared June call statistics, Stage 2 fire ban details, and defensible space consultation resources.
- SLCPD Liaison Marie Stewart discussed crime trends, traffic/noise enforcement, and off-road vehicles on the Jordan River Trail.
- Council Member Chris Wharton highlighted the upcoming Capital Improvement Projects (CIP) cycle and a potential fireworks ban for July 24th.
- Mayor’s Office Liaison Alicia De León provided details on city Cool Zones, an $11.5 million Bezos Earth Fund grant for the 9-Line corridor, water rate tools, and the Planning Division’s “Building the Village” family survey. She also clarified that the mayor has not taken a position on the Grand Liberty Arch Monument, and received feedback from residents regarding the project which will be shared with the mayor.
