On Tuesday, Nov. 18, at 7 p.m., the City Council will hold a public hearing to gather feedback on the proposed Wildland Urban Interface (WUI) Fire Code and the map showing where it would apply.
This state-required code sets rules for building and roofing materials, how buildings must be constructed, how far homes should be from wildlands, and what types of landscaping are allowed in the mapped areas.
